چکیده

The dynamic state index (DSI) is a scalar field that combines variational information on the total energy and enstrophy of flow with second law thermodynamics. Its magnitude combined local measure for non-stationarity, diabaticity, dissipation in flow, it has been shown to provide good qualitative indications onset presence precipitation organization storms. derived thus far ideal fluid models only, however, so one may expect more detailed insights from revised definition quantity includes complex aerothermodynamics. present paper suggests definitions DSI-like indicators flows moist air phase changes precipitation. In this way, DSI generalized signal deviations variety different types balanced states. A comparison these indices evaluated respect same enables user test whether internally balances any combination physical processes encoded DSI-indices.
